You don't need to have the words for it yet. Integrative psychotherapy and coaching for those ready to understand themselves more deeply, and live more freely.

It's about being understood deeply enough that change becomes possible. I work with the Personal Consultancy Model, a unique blend of integrative psychotherapy and coaching that meets the full complexity of who you are and the life you're living.
Psychotherapy gives us the roots: a way to explore what shaped you, what you're carrying, and why certain patterns keep repeating. Coaching builds the branches, turning that insight into practical, forward-moving strategies so it doesn't just sit in the room with us. It travels home with you.
We slow down together. I listen without agenda, and we begin to make sense of what brought you here.
We look beneath the surface, at the beliefs, patterns, and experiences that are quietly running the show.
Together we build strategies that are yours: sustainable, real, and grounded in who you actually are.
The Academic. I spent years in university lecture halls, teaching, researching, and trying to make sense of the world through ideas. I loved the rigour of it. The way a well-formed argument could open a door. But I kept noticing the gap between what we understood in theory and what people were actually living through.
The Advocate. That gap led me to the work I'm most proud of: supporting refugees fleeing war zones, and women who had survived gender-based violence. I sat with people who had lost almost everything, and I watched them find language for experiences that felt unspeakable. I learned that healing doesn't begin with answers. It begins with being truly heard.
The Therapist. Those two lives didn't disappear when I trained as a psychotherapist. They became the foundation of it. My academic background gives me a rigorous, curious approach to understanding what's happening beneath the surface. My years working with trauma and displacement mean I'm not frightened by the difficult, the complex, or the raw. I hold a Master's degree, a Postgraduate Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy and Coaching, and over 25 years of experience working with vulnerable people. But the most important thing I bring into the room is this: I will meet you exactly where you are.
"I will not rush you. I will not reduce you to a diagnosis. I will simply be with you, until you can be more fully with yourself."
People arrive here carrying all kinds of things. Some with a clear diagnosis, some with just a quiet sense that something isn't right. Both are welcome. Click on any area below to learn more about how we might work together.
A space that belongs entirely to you: to slow down, look inward, and begin to understand what's been keeping you stuck.
Learn more →When the distance between you and the person you love feels wider than it should, therapy can help you find your way back to each other.
Learn more →Trauma doesn't always look dramatic from the outside. Sometimes it's a low hum of hypervigilance, a body that won't settle, a past that keeps bleeding into the present.
Learn more →From domestic abuse to identity, from fertility grief to the quiet exhaustion of holding everything together. This is a space where women's experiences are taken seriously.
Learn more →Families are complicated. Parenting is hard. When the relationships closest to us feel strained or broken, it touches everything else.
Learn more →The spiral of anxious thoughts. The weight that makes even small things feel impossible. These are not character flaws. They are signals worth listening to.
Learn more →I also work with: Grief & Loss • Self-Esteem • Anger Management • OCD • Divorce & Separation • Displacement • Domestic Violence • Suicidal Ideation • Self-Harm • Life Transitions • Career Guidance • Stress
Your first session is about laying things out: the tensions, the stuck points, the things that have been quietly pressing in. There's no pressure to explain it perfectly. My role is to make sure you feel steady enough to begin making sense of it all, however tangled it feels right now.
Sessions are £80 for 55 minutes. I also offer concessions for students and those on lower incomes, because access to good therapy shouldn't depend on your financial situation. Please reach out to discuss what's possible. Block booking discounts are also available.
Sessions take place via Zoom, which means you can attend from wherever feels most comfortable and private to you. Your home, your car, wherever you feel most at ease. Life is complicated enough without adding a commute to it.
There's no fixed answer to this, and I'd be cautious of anyone who gave you one. Some people find that 6 to 8 sessions creates real, lasting movement. Others need more time, and that's equally valid. After our third session together, we'll pause and review how things feel, and decide together what makes sense going forward.
It means I don't arrive with a fixed formulI draw from several therapeutic traditions including CBT, psychodynamic theory, Gestalt, Transactional Analysis and Compassion Focused Therapy, and I'll use what actually fits you, not what's easiest to apply. You're not a category. The work shouldn't treat you like one.
Monday to Saturday, between 2pm and 9pm. I try to be as flexible as I can, because life doesn't always cooperate with a 9-to-5 schedule, and neither should therapy.
I work with adults aged 18 and over. In certain circumstances I may work with 16 to 17 year olds. Please get in touch so we can talk through whether it would be appropriate. I don't work with anyone under 16.
"As a man, I came in embarrassed to even acknowledge my feelings. Ellie created a space where none of that mattered. I explored things I'd buried for years. I left with a better relationship with my wife, and with myself."
"After my divorce I felt completely lost, like I'd forgotten who I was. Ellie helped me find my way back to myself. I came in barely standing. I left with my confidence, my clarity, and a perspective I didn't know I was capable of."
"I arrived totally lost. Ellie helped me see things I couldn't see on my own. The fear of other people's judgement that had paralysed me for years. I can hear it now, and let it pass. That shift changed everything."
That's exactly where we begin. A free 15-minute introductory call with no pressure, no commitment, no need to have the right words. Just a conversation to see if we're the right fit for each other.
